||\ Booksactually worth reading

Finally made it back to Booksactually after so long. the last time i was there, it was still a maiden bookstore, starting out by occupying the top floor of a Telok Ayer shophouse with paper cut-outs at its windows. The owners were friendly with a kind of love for books that was both gentle and enduring.

They've moved a couple of streets down and now occupy 3 floors of a shophouse on Club street, having expanded to make space for the readers who believe in non-fiction. The owners are still friendly with a kind of love for books that was both gentle and enduring.

the last time, i went because of a school project on the development of the literary scene in Singapore. Did the local literary scene have a future? was the question they wanted an answer to. i believe Booksactually had a large part to play in my resounding yes.
